Deep South Cheer and Dance Individual, Stunt, and Group Championships

Deep South is proud to offer our Scholarship Individual and Group Championship at each event hosted by Deep South Cheer and Dance. While most companies have ceased to offer these types of events, we feel that the rewards for hard work and dedication in our activities are very important! this year we will offer competitions in Cheer Individual, Dance Individual, Cheer Duo, Cheer Trio, and Cheer Group, Dance Duo, Dance Trio, and Dance Group, Group Stunt, Coed Stunt, Best Pass, and Best Jumps!

All classic events will hold each individual and group competition. Winners of these events could receive scholarships, prizes, and bids to the Individual and Group National Championships in Orange Beach, AL! Deep South is so excited to be one of the very few events that still offer these great competitions with huge awards, so get your routines ready and register now!

The rules and regulations for each event are as follows:

Cheer Individual Rules and Guidelines

Routines must not be any longer than 90 seconds.

Routines will be judged on Standing Tumbling, Running Tumbling, Jumps, Dance, and Performance.

Routines must follow USASF Level 5 Guidelines.

Participant must supply music for the routine.

 

Dance Group Rules and Guidelines

Category will be determined by the oldest member of the group.

Routines must not be any longer than 90 seconds.

Routines will be judged on Standing Tumbling, Running Tumbling, Jumps, Dance, and Performance.

Routines must follow USASF Level 5 Guidelines.

Participant must supply music for the routine.

 

Cheer Stunt Rules and Guidelines

Routines must not be any longer than 90 seconds.

Routines will be judged on Stunts, Tranisitions, Dismounts, Flexibility, Creativity, Technique, and Performance

Routines must follow USASF Level 5 Guidelines.

Participant must supply music for the routine.

 

Dance Individual Rules and Guidelines

Routines must not be any longer than 90 seconds.

Routines will be judged on technique, timing, body control, placement, difficulty, showmanship, and choreography.

Routines must follow USASF Dance Guidelines

Participant must supply music for the routine.

 

Dance Group Rules and Guidelines

Category will be determined by the oldest member of the group.

Routines must not be any longer than 90 seconds.

Routines will be judged on technique, timing, body control, placement, difficulty, showmanship, and choreography.

Best Pass Guidelines

Must follow the USASF Level 5 Guidelines

Rebounding skills and change of directions are allowed in all divisions.

Contestants will be judged on a single running tumbling pass consisting of no more than 10 skills.

Tumbling Pass - Consecutive skills with no steps. Pass will be counted from the first skill performed.

Example - Punch front step out (1) Round off (2) back handspring (3) whip back (4) whip back (5) back handspring (6) double full

(7) punch front step out (8) round off (9) double full (10)

Music will be supplied by competition director

 

Best Jump Guidelines

Must follow the USASF Level 5 Guidelines

Contestants will be judged on a jump sequence consisting of no less than 3 jumps and no more than 8 jumps.

Jumps must be connected or must be continuous as in connected by a prep.

No Tumbling will be considered in the jump sequence.

Contestants will be judged on difficulty, height, flexibility, position, performance, and creativity.

Music will be supplied by competition director
